The Portland Timbers will be an American professional soccer team which is based in Portland, in March 2009 it will begin to play in Major League Soccer in 2011. The Timbers will officially be the 18th Franchise of MLS. The team will replace the USL First Division's team of the same name.
The color of this team are ponderous green and moss green, represent the state of Oregon's pine forests. The Portland Timbers' new logo for their MLS campaign incorporates elements of the former USL design.
